Event Detail
You are invited to attend the School of Mechanical Engineering's 16th Annual Honors Project Exhibition, a display of exciting projects developed by the engineers of tomorrow. The exhibition is a showcase of our final year student projects from all of our streams and provides students with an opportunity to hone their skills in research, development, budgeting and communication. A variety of projects will be exhibited ranging from a Biodiesel Bike and Solar Thermal Air Conditioner to projects demonstrating water desalination via wind power and water out of thin air, to name only a few. Each exhibit represents a culmination of a full year's work by our students and reflects the diversity and opportunities available within the field of engineering. This is a unique opportunity to encounter engineering in practice, to learn what it really means to be an engineer and to engage with final year students as they share their experiences. The exhibition is open to the public, to parents and friends of the students, to students at different year levels within the Faculty and to Primary and High School students across the State. It is an event which attracts wide media attention and has been the subject of a popular children's television show.
