Rural Services

The Rural Services Department is a division of the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA Inc charged with the responsibility of livestock breed society administration.

The department has its office conveniently located in the southern section of the Royal Adelaide Showground.

Currently a number of societies/associations are under the departments management, four of these being national bodies.

The department conducts the every day activities for all groups, these range from meeting administration, sheep and cattle registrations, finance, insurance, organising sales and shows conducting State and National conferences, production of herd and flock books, organising field days, country shows administration, promotions/advertising, production of newsletters/catalogues and social functions.

In addition, the department is involved in a range of internal RA&HS of SA Inc Showtime activities ranging from the Royal Farm Expo, Junior Judging Competitions, the Elite Stud Sheep Sale and the Animal Nursery.
